Which drugs go off patent in 2032?
Six blockbuster drugs with about $53.0B in 2025 worldwide sales lose US exclusivity in 2032, led by Ozempic (Novo Nordisk, $19.3B). Five are small-molecule or peptide drugs that go generic and one is a biologic that faces biosimilars.

| Ozempic | Novo Nordisk | Cardiometabolic | ≈$19.3B | Company guidance | Filed with the FDA | 2027 · −71% |
| Wegovy | Novo Nordisk | Cardiometabolic | ≈$12.0B | Company guidance | Filed with the FDA | 2027 · −71% |
| Tagrisso | AstraZeneca | Oncology | $7.3B | Patent-expiry estimate | No US filing found | – |

| Calquence | AstraZeneca | Oncology | $3.5B | Patent-expiry estimate | Filed with the FDA | 2027 · −40% |
Four of these dates are fixed by a launch, settlement, court ruling or company guidance; two are estimates from patent expiry and could move. Each drug's page has the sources.
| Company | Drugs | 2025 revenue from them | Share of company |
|---|---|---|---|
| Novo Nordisk | Ozempic and Wegovy | ≈$31.3B | 67% |
| AstraZeneca | Tagrisso and Calquence | $10.8B | 18% |
| Takeda | Entyvio | ≈$6.0B | 21% |
| AbbVie | Imbruvica | $2.9B | 4.7% |
| Johnson & Johnson | Imbruvica | $2.8B | 3% |
For shared drugs, each company is credited with the revenue it reports, so nothing is counted twice. Share is of the company's total 2025 revenue.
Generic launches usually take most of a drug's US volume within months. Biosimilars usually erode a biologic's sales more gradually, because they are harder to make and switching takes longer. Ozempic, Wegovy, Entyvio, Imbruvica and Calquence were also selected for Medicare price negotiation, which can cut Medicare revenue before or alongside US copies.
US exclusivity can end earlier or later than these dates if a court ruling, settlement or new patent changes the picture. See what happened to sales after past patent cliffs →
